The Planning, Zoning and Building Department is responsible for: (a) assisting the City Commission and the Planning and Land Development Regulation Commission in guiding and managing the City's growth, (b) administering the City's Comprehensive Plan, Land Development Regulations, Gateway Corridor Standards, Sign Regulations, Subdivision Regulations and other development activity-related codes and ordinances, and (c) processing and administering variances, special exceptions, building permits, business taxes, certificates of occupancy, sign permits, home occupation permits, etc.
